Encountering a peculiar issue with my website wherein the browser crashes and displays “the page doesn’t respond” message when I scroll down to the bottom of the page, regardless of the theme used. After inspecting the Dev Tool, it appears that AdSense processes are utilizing approximately 98% of the CPU. Could this be a potential conflict with WordPress? Also, it seems that this problem only occurs on desktop devices.

The issue described appears to only occur in the Chrome browser, with the page loading normally in Firefox even when AdBlocker is disabled. The root cause of the problem appears to be related to the ad scripts. In order to troubleshoot the issue, it is recommended to temporarily disable the ad scripts and monitor the behavior of the page. This will help in pinpointing which individual scripts or ad providers may be causing the problem, and potentially identify the source of the issue.
It’s important to note that this issue may not be directly related to WordPress itself, but rather the configuration of plugins and themes used on the website. Therefore, it is recommended to check for any potential conflicts or compatibility issues with the ad provider or scripts used and the WordPress configuration. By doing so, it may be possible to determine the root cause of the issue and implement a solution to resolve the browser crashes.
I attempted to troubleshoot the issue by disabling all plugins and using the default WordPress theme, but the same problem persisted. The issue is reproducible on both Chrome and Firefox browsers, and you can confirm it by visiting the website’s URL /staging.
The advertising scripts in question are also present in the staging environment. If it’s not something that is directly related to WordPress, there is a possibility that it may have been integrated by the web hosting provider. Perhaps they have included it as part of a special offer or free hosting plan. It is recommended to reach out to their support team for further assistance.
