What can I do to resolve the issue where I am unable to log in to my WordPress website from my PC? There is no error message, and the page simply resets. However, if I use an alternative machine, there is no problem. I have tried using VPN, disabling antivirus (Avast), clearing cache and history, and using different browsers. I have also checked all driver updates and reset those that were needed since the last successful login on April 12th. No new programs have been installed or updated, but I am at a loss for what to try next.

Have you tried using incognito mode or safe mode in the different browsers you’ve tested? The other devices that can log in successfully, are they connected to the same Wi-Fi, IP gateway, or common intranet as the affected PC?
Although it appears to be a local issue, there are other steps you could take. Have you tried switching to a default twenty* theme and deactivating all plugins? It’s possible that one of the plugins may be causing interference and preventing login, even for a strange reason.
Great news – the problem has been resolved!
It turns out that the web address you had been using to access the login page was causing the issue. For some reason, the old browser address had additional website information on it which prevented the login page from functioning.
You were able to solve the issue by entering the web address afresh and using “login.php” with no additional text after it. This change allowed the login page to work properly.

If switching themes and deactivating plugins does not alleviate the problem, it’s possible that the issue may be related to your WP account. Do you have other user credentials that you could attempt to use instead?
If you’re unable to log in, you can still change themes and deactivate plugins through FTP or your hosting file manager. You may need to rename the /plugins/ folder and your current theme’s folder. At least one of the twenty* themes should be installed. If not, you can download and install the required theme manually by uploading all of the theme’s files.
While there are some alternative methods for resetting your password, most of them require you to know your username or ID. If your WP user information is corrupted, you may not know your current username or ID.
In the linked webpage, you’ll find information on how to access phpMyAdmin. This tool allows you to view and modify all users’ passwords, even if you don’t have any of the original WP user information. This can be accomplished via your hosting account in most instances.
